A man in his late 50’s has been arrested, after allegedly fleeing police and then crashing on the Trans Canada Highway near Millstream Saturday.

Officers say they attempted to stop an erratic driver in a pickup truck around noon in Langford when he fled in his vehicle.

A short time later members say he was seen entering the Highway in the wrong direction, northbound in the Millstream Road southbound off-ramp.

He collided with the side of a rock wall, and was quickly taken in to custody.

No members of the public were injured during the incident, and the driver escaped with minor injuries.
