Police say they are looking for a woman who was seen in surveillance footage trying to open car doors in the driveway of a home.
The doors of both cars were locked and the video shows the suspect leaving the scene empty-handed.
The West Shore RCMP, who were provided the video from the resident, are issuing a reminder for people to lock their doors and keep valuables out of sight.
“We get regular complaints regarding theft from vehicles all over the West Shore. Please keep your doors locked. We suggest incorporating a nightly routine in your home. Before your head off to bed, make sure your vehicle doors are locked and bring your valuables inside.” said Cst. Nancy Saggar, Media Relations Officer, West Shore RCMP.
RCMP are also asking if anyone recognizes the suspect or has any further information regarding the woman in the video to call 250-474-2264 or report through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
