Patricia Nzuza, the 55-year-old woman who was reported missing by her family after travelling to Victoria, has been located and is safe, according to Sidney/North Saanich RCMP.

Before she was located, Nzuza was last seen leaving Victoria Airport on a BC Transit bus on April 16 and went out of contact with family, sparking concern for her well-being and leading to the missing persons report being filed April 19.

In an update, RCMP confirmed Nzuza was found on the afternoon of April 25, and reported that she is in good health.

Nzuza’s daughter also took to Instagram to express her relief and gratitude to all those who helped in the search and supported her family during the difficult time. She requested privacy for their family as they process and heal from the experience.

There is no criminal investigation into the incident, and police say out of respect for privacy, no further information will be shared at this time.
