Victoria police are seeking help from the public to identify a suspect after they allegedly robbed a woman, pulling her to the ground and dragging her before making off with her purse.
The incident happened around noon Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the 1900-block of Douglas Street, where the woman, 59, was walking toward her vehicle, according to VicPD in a news release Tuesday.

“The suspect ran away with the victim’s purse and was last seen boarding a BC Transit bus. Bystanders in the area came to the victim’s aid,” said VicPD in the release.
The suspect is described as approximately 40 years old and standing 6′ to 6’3″ with a medium build, partially balding red-brown hair and a big beard.
