Woman left with swelling and bruises after unprovoked assault: Saanich police

Saanich police say a 24-year-old woman was injured in an unprovoked assault on Gordon Point Drive.

Saanich police say they are looking for a man wanted in connection with an “unprovoked assault” in the 4500 block of Gordon Point Drive.

Police said on Sept. 6 at around 2:30 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was walking toward the beach when an unknown man assaulted her, leaving her with swelling and bruises to her face and body.

According to police, the woman fought off the man and ran home, then called Saanich police.

The woman was treated for her injuries by paramedics. Victim Services also attended.

The suspect is described as a tall man with a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie.
