WestJet has warned any passengers that have travelled with them on specific flights that they were possibly exposed to the deadly COVID-19 virus.

WestJet has warned passengers that have travelled with them recently of possibly exposure to the deadly COVID-19 virus.

The Canadian airline company made an announcement on its website, pointing to 14 flights that now have links to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 14 WestJet flights span between February 28 and March 12, with the Calgary-based carrier highlighting specific rows that passengers should be wary about.

According to WestJet, passengers who sat in the specified rows are considered to have been in ‘close contact’ to someone infected and are at risk. They should immediately self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms.

Other passengers who were onboard any of the listed flights should self-monitor for any signs of symptoms and see local health authorities if symptoms arise in the 14-day window.

This announcement comes just a few days after the company said it would be suspending its international and transborder service as of Sunday, March 22.
