Canada’s second-largest airline has extended cuts to number of its flights to Vancouver Island.
In a recent media release, WestJet says it will extend suspension of routes representing thousands of weekly flights from its its June 5 to July 4 domestic schedule.
Many of those flights have been suspended since May 4.
The Calgary-based airline’s service reduction includes the suspension of six Vancouver Island routes; Vancouver-Comox, Vancouver-Nanaimo, Kelowna-Victoria, Edmonton-Victoria, Edmonton-Comox and Toronto-Victoria.
However, they will continue to operate daily flights on its Vancouver-Victoria and Calgary-Victoria routes, according to their website.
WestJet says it is also extending its temporary transborder and international route suspensions through to June 25.
