West Shore RCMP say missing teen last seen in Victoria found safe

West Shore RCMP say the teen reported missing on Jan. 18 has been found safe.

“The RCMP thanks the media and public for their assistance,” said RCMP in an update Monday.

Mounties in the West Shore are asking the public to help find a missing youth who was last seen in downtown Victoria.

Police are searching for the 17-year-old male, who was reported missing on Jan. 18 and was last seen in the 2100-block of Vancouver Street in Victoria on Jan. 16.

RCMP say he’s known to frequent Victoria’s downtown core.

“Since (his) disappearance, police have followed up on several leads and possible sightings, however (he) remains missing,” said RCMP in a release Saturday.

He’s described as an Indigenous teen who stands 5’9” and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has dark brown and black hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call their local police, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously online or at 1-800-222-8477.
