West Shore RCMP are searching for a male suspect, after a report of a sexual assault by a teen on the Galloping Goose Trail Tuesday.

A 16-year-old girl told police she was walking on the trail at 1 p.m. near Sooke Road and Happy Valley Road in Langford when she was approached by a male.

After asking for directions and receiving some from the young girl she says he shook her hand, pulled her in to hug her and gave her a kiss on the neck.

The victim says she was able to push him away — and that he thanked her and left the area.

The suspect is described as an east Indian male with an east Indian accent. He was roughly 20-30 years-old and was wearing a dark puffy jacket, dark jeans and a dark t-shirt. He was also riding a bicycle.

Anyone with information on the incident or suspect is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or anonymously though Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
