A man already facing numerous drug charges was arrested in a West Shore RCMP drug trafficking investigation recently.

Police say four search warrants were executed Feb. 18 after surveillance determined a male suspect was trafficking drugs out of a View Royal apartment.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Kevin Parsons and officers searched the View Royal apartment, a townhouse in Central Saanich and two vehicles.

Police say a variety of illicit drugs were seized in their search, including Methamphetamine, Ketamine, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), Cocaine, Xanax, and Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms).

Officers also recovered cash.

West Shore RCMP says Parsons has been charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance for trafficking.

Parsons is known to police, who say he faces 12 counts of drug trafficking and five counts of possession of a controlled substance.

“This is a job well done by our drugs and organized crime unit here at the West Shore RCMP,” West Shore RCMP Operations NCO Staff Sergeant Raj Sandhu said in a statement.

“Drug enforcement is a key priority in keeping our communities safe and we will continue to bolster our efforts in this area.”
