West Shore RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection with two break-and-enters at a liquor store in Langford.

Police said the first break-in at the Cascadia Liquor Store at 107-977 Langford Parkway on June 23 at around 2:25 a.m. A single suspect was seen on video surveillance smashing the front door glass, police said. The suspect allegedly went into the liquor store and stole alcohol.

West Shore RCMP met with the manager of the store shortly after the break-in. The manager had called an emergency glass repair company to come in and repair the door. After investigating, officers left the store to the manager to secure the business.

Then at 5:50 a.m., police received another call about the store being broken into again. The manager told police they had stayed behind and made sure the door was replaced. Police said the manager was still inside the store when a group of three teenagers approached the front door and smashed the glass. The manager scared the group away before anything was stolen.

West Shore RCMP went back to the store and discovered video surveillance revealed two female suspects and one male suspect were involved in the second break-in. The two female suspects were seen wearing Spencer Middle School hockey jerseys.

At 6:15 a.m., police were called to a suspicious occurrence and found Spencer Middle School had been broken into and the suspects had taken hockey gear, including jerseys, from the school.

Police then identified the two female suspects in the second break-and-enter. Both girls, who are 15-years-old, were arrested for break-and-enter and possession of property obtained by crime.

The male suspect is described as white and 15-20 years old. He was wearing a white hoodie with a black baseball cap, blue jeans and a black backpack. Anyone who can identify the male suspect is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
