West Shore RCMP looking to ID suspect after poppy box theft

West Shore RCMP are looking for a man who reportedly stole a poppy donation box off the counter at a Thrifty Foods in View Royal.

Police say the theft took place at the Thrifty Foods at 1495 Admirals Road on Nov. 3 at around 8:50 p.m. According to police, the male suspect went to the service desk and took the poppy donation box off the counter. He then ran out of the store.

Surveillance cameras captured photos of the suspect. He is described by police as 30 to 40-years-old with a medium build. He was wearing a grey Adidas brand zip-up hoodie with the “Adidas” logo across the back, dark coloured jeans and black runners with a white sole.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
