UPDATE: On July 3, RCMP confirmed Debra Evans-Hayes had been found dead. Her body was discovered in Thetis Lake.

West Shore RCMP are asking for help in finding a missing 48-year-old woman from View Royal.

Police said Debra Evans-Hayes was last seen on Wednesday and is believed to be in the Greater Victoria area. They did not provide details about the exact location where Evans-Hayes went missing.

Evans-Hayes is described by police as white, 5’8″ (172 centimetres), 154 to 165 pounds (70-75 kilograms), with brown hair and brown eyes.
