West Shore RCMP officers are seeking the public’s assistance following a road rage incident that ended with an alleged assault.

The incident took place on March 3 at approximately 4:30 p.m. when police received a report that a motorist had just been assaulted by another at the Trans Canada Highway and West Shore Parkway intersection in Langford.

Police say that the altercation started with a road rage incident along the Trans Canada Highway near McKenzie Avenue.

At that time, the suspect allegedly exited his green mini cooper during a red light, went to the victim’s black pickup truck down — forcing the window down — and “punched the victim multiple times,” according to police.

West Shore RCMP is asking for anyone who may have been travelling in the area during this time to review their personal dash camera videos that may have captured the incident or the erratic driving behaviour ahead of the alleged assault.

Anyone with information about this incident is being asked to contact the West Shore RCMP non-emergency line at 250-474-2264.
