Watch Live on CBC: RCMP provide another update on northern BC homicide and missing persons cases

The fates of, from left to right, Chynna Deese, Lucas Fowler, Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky have raised alarms in northern B.C. Deese and Fowler died last week in suspicious circumstances. McLeod and Schmegelsly have been reported missing and the body of another unidentified man was discovered near their burned out truck.

The father of a 23-year-old Australian man found murdered with his American girlfriend along a northern B.C. highway is joining the Mounties in appealing for information to solve the case.

Chief Inspector Stephen Fowler of the New South Wales police says the deaths of his son Lucas and Chynna Deese is the “worst ever love story.”

Police are also investigating the death of an unidentified man and the nearby discovery of a burned-out vehicle belonging to two missing teenagers from Port Alberni.
