Investigators are searching for a 69-year-old Nanaimo man who is accused of voyeurism and possessing child pornography after he missed a scheduled court date.
Michael Gordon Lowry was first arrested in November 2019 after RCMP received reports of “several incidents of suspected voyeurism” in a Nanaimo home that August.
Carrying out a search at the home, officers seized various electronic devices owned by Lowry and said they found evidence to support the allegations against him.
After his arrest in the Lower Mainland, Lowry was released on conditions, but recently missed a scheduled court date in Nanaimo Provincial Court, RCMP said.
A warrant has now been issued for his arrest. Investigators desccribe Lowry as white, 6’1″, 200 pounds and bald with blue eyes. A picture supplied by Nanaimo RCMP was taken at the time of his original arrest in November 2019.
