Calgary Police are looking for 20-year old Jordan Jay Ward who they believe may be in the Comox Valley area.

The Comox Valley RCMP are alerting the public that 20-year old Jordan Jay Ward – a man wanted for a double homicide in Calgary – may be in the area.

Ward is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two counts of manslaughter, according to an RCMP press release.

Calgary Police have informed Comox Valley RCMP that Ward is the third suspect linked to a double homicide that occurred in the community of Sandstone in northwest Calgary on August 28, 2020.

Abas Ahmed Ibrahim, 27, and Mohamed Khalid Shaikh, 19, were killed in a shooting that was believed by police to be targeted.

Two men have already been charged in relation to the event, with Ward being the 3rd.

On Aug. 31, police charged 20-year-old Dennis Wong with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder.

A week later, police charged 23-year-old Gerald David Benn with two counts of second-degree murder.

On Tuesday, September 8, Calgary Police sought the public’s help in locating Ward, who is “believed to have critical information about the [double homicide] that could help advance the investigation.”

According to Calgary Police, Ward was allegedly seen on a rural logging road, possibly wearing army green hunting clothes and riding a dark coloured bicycle.
