Walk-in COVID-19 immunization clinic held at Nanaimo's Woodgrove Centre

A temporary walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic opening at Nanaimo’s Woodgrove Centre will provide first doses to anyone over 12.

The clinic opened Tuesday morning and is located in the previous Le Chateau location next to La Senza at the north end of the mall.

It will open its doors seven days a week for the following hours, though they will be subject to change:

  • Monday to Friday — 2-6 p.m.
  • Saturdays — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sundays — 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Island Health is reminding those looking to get their jabs that the clinic is for first doses only, and anyone in need of a second dose must book an appointment through the province’s Get Vaccinated system.

The health authority says it will also provide a limited number of walk-in appointments at existing mass immunization clinics like Beban Park in Nanaimo in an effort to get everyone their first doses.
