Victoria’s Simon Keith hospitalized, in dire need of heart and kidney transplant

WATCH: Former professional soccer player and organ transplant advocate Simon Keith is currently in a San Diego hospital on dialysis. Keith made international headlines in the late 1980’s when he became the first athlete to play professional sports after undergoing a heart transplant. The University of Victoria alum is the current CEO of the Simon Keith Foundation, an organization dedicated to increasing awareness of organ donorship and educating transplant recipients.
