Victoria’s Doug Hudlin umpired in the capital city for over four decades and was the first non-american umpire to be invited to work at the Little League World Series. On Saturday in Ontario, Hudlin was immortalized in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

Hudlin passed away at 2014 at the age of 91, but his legacy here on the island, and now nationally, won’t soon be forgotten.
