Thirty-three-year-old J.F. Best was named the new assistant coach of the Victoria Royals today.

The addition comes in reaction to Dave Lowry’s departure and Dan Price’s promotion, leaving the assistant coach spot open for Best.

Best’s prior coaching experience includes a run with the Kanata Lasers, a Junior A team based in Ontario, and as a performance analysis consultant for Team Denmark at the 2017 senior and junior IIHF World Championships.
