The City of Victoria has released its 2024 edition of CityVibe, which showcases the nearly 200 free events it’s hosting this summer.

From June 1 to Sept. 19, the city will be home to nearly 200 concerts, festivals, public markets, arts programs or other family friendly events.

The events range from live “Music in the Park” concerts to Chinese Lion Dancing demonstrations, to markets at Ship Point.

The full 2024 CityVibe guide can be found online, with interactive links to specific dates.

Meanwhile, a smaller “CityVibe Pocket Guide” is also available online or for pick up at Victoria city hall with a briefer look at all the events taking place over 88 days this summer.

“We invite residents and visitors to enjoy this incredible lineup of free live music and arts and culture programming in our vibrant downtown and beautiful parks,” said Victoria Mayor Marianne Alto in a release Monday.

“Mark your calendars with lots of great activities, including Music at Ship Point, a summer-long mid-week concert series paired with food trucks, a beer garden, games and lots of free fun, all set against the picturesque backdrop of the Inner Harbour,” she said.

Some of the events featured this year were recipients of the city’s 2023 Festival Investment Grant, which included more than $450,000 in funding for local arts and events. The city is currently reviewing applicants for the 2024 Festival Investment Grant.
