WATCH: Langford’s Guy Barrett controlled the race from start to finish, and walked away as the winner of the Strawberry Cup at Western Speedway last night.
It was a picture-perfect evening for racing in Langford, as winged sprint cars, non-winged sprint cars and vintage modified vehicles hit the asphalt in the second day of racing.
The winged sprint cars boast 600 horsepower engines and reach speeds of up to 100 mph, and despite many delays and a scary crash in the main event, Guy Barrett’s #00 car took home the trophy at the end of the night.
