Victoria Police are looking to identify two suspects after wallets were stolen from recreation centres.

Victoria police are seeking to identify two people who are suspects in thefts of wallets from the Esquimalt Recreation Centre and the use of stolen credit cards.

On April 5, police received the report of a theft from the recreation centre in the 500-block of Fraser Street. The victim says their wallet was stolen and the credit cards were used at multiple stores in Greater Victoria.

Later in the day, another person reported that their wallet and credit card was stolen from the same place.

Investigators say several purchases were made rapidly using the stolen credit cards, and have obtained CCTV footage of the suspects allegedly using the stolen credit cards.

Anyone who recognizes the people are asked to call VicPD at (250) 995-7654 extension 1 or report anonymously through the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Additionally, police are reminding recreation users to secure their belongings while using the facilities.
