Victoria Police seek public assistance in locating suspect in assault investigation

Victoria Police are seeking witnesses who may have witnessed an assault take place on April 20, after a man exited a BC Transit bus.

The Victoria Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect believed to have assaulted someone shortly after exiting a BC Transit bus.

Police say the assault occurred on April 20 at around 9:30 a.m., when the suspect allegedly assaulted an individual in the 1300 block of Douglas Street.  The suspect is described as 55 to 65 years old, 6 feet 2 inches in height, with a large build, grey beard and carrying a cane.

Anyone who has seen this man or knows of his whereabouts is asked to notify VicPD by calling (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
