Investigators are looking for information after a law enforcement memorial at the B.C. Legislature was vandalized one week ago.

VicPD says anti-police graffiti was found on the Bastion BC Law Enforcement Memorial on the grounds of the legislature.

Specifically, the acronym “ACAB,” commonly used by those opposed to police, was left on the memorial.

While the graffiti was found by Legislative Assembly Protective Services staff on Saturday, Nov. 27, it wasn’t reported to police until Dec. 2.

Now police are seeking information from the public, asking anyone who knows anything to contact them at 250-995-7654 extension 1 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police say the memorial is dedicated to officers who have given their lives in service to the province and includes 129 names, including six members of VicPD.
