
Victoria police respond to shots fired at Fisherman’s Wharf downtown on June 21.
UPDATE: VicPD says one person was taken into custody on Wednesday after police responded to reports of shots fired at Fisherman’s Wharf.
“In the end, the individual that we were concerned with came out and was very cooperative with police,
“We did a search of the vessel and there was no firearm located.”
There are no details on what, if any charges the man may face.
The investigation continues
Victoria police are investigating reports of shots fired at Fisherman’s Wharf.
There is currently a large police presence in the area and officers are evacuating the docks and boats in the area. The region’s Emergency Response Team is also on scene with riot shields and long guns. Police are asking people to stay away. Witnesses said there are as many as eight police cruisers at the wharf and the SWAT Team has also arrived.

There were reports of shots fired, possibly from a boat docked at the wharf, Wednesday afternoon but that has not been confirmed by VicPD. None of the witnesses CHEK News spoke to heard shots fired.
