Victoria police are investigating reports of shots fired at Fisherman’s Wharf.

There is currently a large police presence in the area and officers are evacuating the docks and boats in the area. The region’s Emergency Response Team is also on scene with riot shields and long guns. Police are asking people to stay away. Witnesses said there are as many as eight police cruisers at the wharf and the SWAT Team has also arrived.

There were reports of shots fired, possibly from a boat docked at the wharf, Wednesday afternoon but that has not been confirmed by VicPD. None of the witnesses CHEK News spoke to heard shots fired.
