Victoria Police says they are investigating after receiving numerous reports of sexualized violence related to a downtown Victoria restaurant.

In a release Wednesday night, Victoria Police says they were first alerted to a series of posts on a social media network which contained reports of sexual violence involving a restaurant employee on Sunday.

The Instagram account “Survivor Stories Project” has posts from more than a dozen women who interacted with the employee in question, alleging sexual violence, and drug abuse.

On Monday, Chuck’s Burger Bar issued a statement on Facebook  saying even though the employee denied the allegations, the business terminated all relations with the individual.

Victoria Police said Monday it was aware of the allegations and invited anyone with information to come forward.

On Wednesday night, VicPD says detectives with the Special Victims Unit are investigating after receiving “numerous reports of sexualized violence associated to a downtown Victoria bar and grill.”

Victoria Police says the investigation is active and ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
