Victoria Police says it is still investigating a case where a man reported he was chased by two masked youths Thursday night.
Officers responded to Richmond and Bay streets where they met the victim.
According to police, he told the officers two youths wearing handkerchiefs over their faces had approached and asked for cash.
The victim fled and was chased a short distance by the two suspects, who then stopped and fled in the opposite direction.
Police say the man was uninjured.
Officers searched the area but have not been able to locate the suspects.
