Patrol officers with the Victoria Police Department (VicPD) have arrested high-risk offender Douglas McPherson who was wanted on a Canada-wide parole revocation warrant.
Douglas McPherson was the subject of a wanted person alert, sent out by VicPD this morning. He is a federal parolee with a history of convictions for bank robbery and was considered a “high-risk” offender
At approximately 1:45 p.m. this afternoon, Patrol officers were called to the 900-block of Pandora Avenue, after an alert citizen noticed McPherson in the area. Officers arrested McPherson without incident.
He will be transferred to the custody of Corrections Canada, according to police.
“Thank you to members of our community who shared McPherson’s information and helped to resolve this file,” Victoria Police wrote in a statement.
