Victoria police are asking for help in the search of a wanted man who was taken into custody in early January for an alleged domestic assault and shooting incident in a Sooke home New Year’s Eve.
Police reported last Wednesday 26-year-old Ezra Polstein is wanted for breaching his recognizance and may be in the Nanaimo area.
A post on Twitter Monday morning from police called for help trying to locate Polstein.

Polstein was charged with assault causing bodily harm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief over $5,000 after he alledgedly assaulted his partner and fired a hunting rifle inside a home in Sooke on New Year’s Eve.
Ezra is described as standing 6’2″ tall and weighs 200 pounds and has curly blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on Ezra’s whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
