Victoria police said a man was arrested for mischief and assault at Finance Minister Carole James’ constituency office on Fort Street Tuesday.
VicPD said the man locked himself to an object inside the Victoria-Beacon Hill office.
After officers spoke with the man for some time, he was unlocked, arrested and taken back to the VicPD detachment. He was later released with no charges at this time.
VicPD said they are still investigating the incident.
Two other people that were in James’ office at the same time left when asked, police said.
