WATCH: The Victoria Mariners hosted the 5th annual Zack Downey Memorial Tournament at Layritz Park this weekend.
Downey, who passed away in 2014 after a long battle with cancer, was a top talent for the Mariners program, and is remembered by many as a role model for many of today’s young baseball players in the Capital Region.
Zack’s family comes to the tournament every year, as the players, coaches and parents remember Zack and his passion for baseball.
