Condolences are pouring in for a Victoria father that was tragically killed in a mountain biking accident at Shawnigan Lake on Friday.
Forty-nine-year-old Hugh Thompson was mountain biking with a friend at the end of Renfrew Road when the accident happened.
Hugh is being remembered as a loving dad who died doing what he loved.
Friends and family are now rallying to support Hugh’s wife, Paige, and two sons who are 12-years-old and four-years-old.
A GoFundMe in memory of Hugh Thompson has been set up and donations will be used to create a scholarship for the boys for when they’re older.
