Victoria Police is issuing a warning to local business owners and staff about multiple reports of theft of valuables left in staff rooms.
The latest incident happened on Wednesday when an officer went to a business in the 1400-block of Blanshard Street.
A manager reported a suspect man followed a delivery person into the business just after 4 p.m.
The male then went into the staff room and allegedly stole several items including cash, wallets and a mobile phone.
The suspect’s description closely resembles several recent similar incidents targetting staff rooms in Victoria.
The man is described by police as Caucasian between 40 and 50 years-old.
He was wearing a dark leather coat, blue jeans, a dark toque and carried a large backpack.
VicPD is asking businesses to be alert and ensure all staff rooms and valuables are secured.
