Victoria police are hoping witnesses or people with dashcam footage will come forward to help with a hit-and-run investigation.

On Nov. 29 around 12:15 a.m., a 62-year-old woman was hit while crossing in a crosswalk at Foul Bay and Fairfield roads.

The driver of the vehicle, which is described as a white sports car, was reported to be driving at high speeds and did not stop at the stop sign. Police note the vehicle may have damage to the front passenger side after hitting the pedestrian.

The 62-year-old pedestrian was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information or footage from dashcam, doorbell or business CCTV cameras is asked to call the E-Comm Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1 or report anonymously to CrimeStoppers online or by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS.
