Police are pleading for help in the search for a missing 72-year-old man considered “high risk” and last seen in Victoria’s James Bay neighbourhood.

In a news release, VicPD say 72-year-old Robert Gray was last seen sometime Saturday, Aug. 13 in the 100-block of Simcoe Street before leaving for a walk.

Due to Gray’s medical condition, family and investigators are concerned for his well-being and are currently trying to locate him, according to VicPD.

Police describe Gray as a Caucasian man standing six feet tall with a medium build, grey hair and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing a grey hat, a beige jacket over a Hawaiian shirt, dark green pants and grey shoes. 

Anyone who sees Gray is asked to 911, and those with information about his whereabouts should call VicPD at 250-995-7654 ext. 1. To remain anonymous, tipsters can reach out to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
