VicPD Major Crime Unit detectives are investigating a robbery with a firearm that took place in Esquimalt on Saturday night.
The incident happened at Saxe Point Park around 8:30 p.m.
Officers discovered the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
They were transported to hospital, treated, and released.
Investigators believe it was an isolated incident.
