VicPD Investigators are searching for a suspect following a break and enter in Esquimalt on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say Esquimalt Division Patrol officers were called to Lampson Street between Esquimalt Road and Lyall Street after a homeowner came home just before noon to discover several items had been stolen.
An alert neighbour had spotted an unknown male leaving the residence who is believed to be a suspect in the crime.
He is described as Caucasian, in his early 20s. He was wearing a black baseball cap with a white emblem on it, a dark, baggy jacket, and notable bright orange or yellow running shoes.
