Latest: Missing 75-year-old woman located safely and back with her family

Victoria police say 75-year-old Elsie Habbick, who was reported missing Monday night, has been located safely and is back with her family.

Habbick was spotted overnight by a concerned resident who called 911 and Saanich police located her.

Police reported Habbick missing just before 8:30 p.m. Monday night and had not been seen since noon in the James Bay neighbourhood.

Authorities said she suffers from dementia but is quite mobile.

Police thank the public for helping to locate Habbick.
