The University of Victoria and the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce are working together to connect students and recent graduates with local employers through a hiring day.
The event will take place on March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Michele Pujol Room at UVic.
Bruce Williams, CEO of GVCC says the event will have opportunities for students looking for summer jobs, as well as ongoing positions.
“Finding workers and employees is a huge challenge in our region as you know,” Williams said. “The majority of students want to work to supplement their income and cover their ever increasing cost of living and enable them to continue their studies.”
The event is free, and businesses are encouraged to register for the event on the GVCC website.
There are 60 spaces available for employers. Each business will be provided a table, two chairs and access to WIFI if needed.
