The University of Victoria is making rapid antigen tests available following an outbreak of COVID-19.

As of Dec. 14, there have been 137 cases confirmed connected with the university.

Only students, faculty, or staff from the university who do not currently have any symptoms and have been identified as close contact with someone who has tested positive are allowed to access the rapid tests.

The tests are available by appointment for pickup at the UVic’s McKinnon gym.

Appointments can be made on the Thrive website using University of Victoria login credentials.

At the appointment, anyone picking up rapid tests will be given instructions on how to send positive results to Island Health.
