According to Oceanside RCMP, a male suspect stole a grey 2018 Ford F-150 Roush edition pickup truck with B.C. license plate number PN206E from a residence in the Dolphin Drive and Schooner Cove Drive area of Nanoose Bay on Oct. 20.

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole a unique pickup truck from a residence in Nanoose Bay earlier this month.

According to Oceanside RCMP, a male suspect stole a grey 2018 Ford F-150 Roush edition pickup truck with B.C. license plate number PN206E from a residence in the Dolphin Drive and Schooner Cove Drive area of Nanoose Bay on Oct. 20.

RCMP say the suspect broke into the truck and stole the garage door opener that was located inside the vehicle and used it to enter the home.

Once inside the home, they say the suspect took the keys to the truck and the owner’s wallet.

The suspect then fled in the pickup truck and used the owner’s stolen credit card to purchase fuel at a nearby gas station.

Although the truck had B.C. plates with the number PN206E on them, RCMP say it is likely the suspect removed the license plates following the theft.

RCMP also say the incident is connected to at least two other crimes that were reported to them by neighbours in the Dolphin Drive and Schooner Cove Drive area, who reported theft from a vehicle and trespassing.

The Ford F-150 pickup has a Roush aftermarket package that displays the word ‘Roush’ in big white letters on the front windshield.

Anyone who has information about the theft, the suspect, or the location of the vehicle is asked to contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
