Two youths are in RCMP custody in Courtenay suspected of carrying out an armed robbery Thursday morning.
Police were notified of the incident at a business in the 700-block of Ryan Road just before 10 a.m.
It happens to be across the street from the local RCMP detachment.
Police say they tracked down and arrested two suspects in just 6 minutes.
“The address of the Comox Valley RCMP detachment is 800 Ryan road, and this did occur on the 700 block of Ryan road,” said RCMP Cst. Rob Gardner.
“So that’s very helpful for a quick response.”
The general investigation section and the forensic identification section were on the scene for several hours today.
Details about what kind of weapon was allegedly used have not been released.
