At least one person is in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Sooke involving one of BC Hydro’s derrick trucks.
It’s currently unclear what unfolded on Sooke Road near Charters Road Wednesday afternoon, but footage captured by CHEK News shows crews from Sooke’s fire department extracting one person from a car.
Photos show the car badly damaged and someone inside being carefully removed from the wreckage by a rescue team.
BC Hydro’s truck sustained some damage as well and could be seen being long-lined off the road by a tow truck.
Police tell CHEK News that an investigation is currently underway.
