Flooding on Tzouhalem Road in the Cowichan Valley.

Parts of two roads in the Cowichan Valley remain closed due to flooding.

According to Drive BC, Cowichan Bay Road is closed in both directions due to flooding between Tzoualem Road/ Cowichan Bay Road and Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway). The road will remain closed until further notice.

To the east of that area, Tzouhalem Road is also closed in both directions, between Joe Road and Samuel Road, due to flooding.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says on Tzouhalem Road, the water level in the adjacent Cowichan River is very high and a side-channel has overflowed, spilling water onto Tzouhalem Road.

Environment Canada’s forecast shows rain continuing into next week in Duncan.
