The BC Centre for Disease Control has added two Air Canada Jazz flights from Vancouver to Victoria last week to its list of possible COVID-19 exposures.

Two Air Canada Jazz flights, that both landed in Victoria from Vancouver last week, have been added to the BC Centre for Disease Control’s COVID-19 public exposure list.

The BCCDC is warning air travellers who were on board Air Canada Jazz flight 8075 from Vancouver to Victoria, that arrived on November 18, of a possible exposure to COVID-19.

Officials say a case of the coronavirus has been identified on this flight and passengers that sat in rows 11-17 are being advised to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms.

A positive COVID-19 case has also been identified on Air Canada Jazz flight 8081 the following day, Nov. 19.

Rows one-to-five are affected.

Passengers seated in these rows are considered to be at higher risk of exposure due to their proximity to the case, according to the BCCDC.

The BCCDC also states if air travellers who have travelled to or from other parts of Canada are concerned about potential in-flight exposure, to check for similar information posted on other provincial public health web sites or the federal government web site.
