Update: Both adults have been found. Identifying details about the previously missing people has been removed from this story. Read the update here.

Two adults are missing after they did not come home after a group excursion in the Nanaimo Lakes area, according to RCMP.

Four adults drove up to the Nanaimo Lakes area together on Nov. 28, and while the group was there, two of them wandered off.

After about 90 minutes, the other two adults tried looking for them, then after an unsuccessful search they returned home. RCMP say it is unclear how the pair returned home, and the vehicle that the group drove up in is also missing.

The two were reported missing the next day on Nov. 29.

RCMP says Nanaimo Search and Rescue has been informed but has not commenced a search due to a lack of information. RCMP is in touch with SAR and if more information becomes available then SAR will get involved.

In a release, RCMP says there is no picture available of either.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the adults is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.

Editor’s note: A previous version of this release spelled Demore’s name as Denmore. This spelling was provided by RCMP who clarified the correct spelling the next day.
