Traffic heading northbound on Blanshard Street is backed up after a vehicle appears to have crashed into a lamp post.
The crash happened before Finlayson Street on Monday afternoon. It appears the driver was heading northbound on Blanshard Street when it hit the lamp post, ripping it out of the ground and dragging it onto the road — blocking traffic.
Victoria Police and Fire were on the scene and a tow truck was called to remove the pole from the middle of the road.
There is no word yet on how many people were in the vehicle or if there were any injuries.
