The official election day in BC is approaching this Saturday, October 24, however, today marks the final day residents can vote in advance.

Elections BC opened up polls for advance voting on October 15 and British Columbians will have until 8 p.m. tonight for those hoping to vote in-person ahead of Saturday’s election.

For anyone planning to cast their vote in advance, Elections BC is highlighting that “some advance voting places may not be open on every advance voting day.”

Voters can check to see if their nearest polling station is open by visiting the Elections BC guide.

Each location has been set up with venue-specific capacity limits as well as enhanced cleaning protocols and safety regulations due to COVID-19.

Elections BC is asking British Columbians who will be voting in-person to bring identification and the Where to Vote card that is being sent in the mail.

In addition, Elections BC is advising that voters bring their own pen or pencil to mark ballots. Officials are also recommending that British Columbians wear a mask to the polls, however, it is not mandatory.

Election officials ask for anyone who is feeling ill or is self-isolating to not visit a voting place.

For anyone who is planning on voting via mail-in ballot that hasn’t already sent it, Elections BC is recommending you return your vote-by-mail package in person to make sure it is received by the deadline.

Elections BC says that completed vote-by-mail packages must be received by before 8 p.m. PT on Saturday, October 24 in order to be counted.

You can return your vote-by-mail package in person at the following locations:
